Many Roads. One Purpose.
The Tour de Cure is an event where no matter what road you take, you will be joining thousands of people from around the country who have the same passion as you to fight diabetes and its burdens.
Cycling will make you feel the power of the pedal as you join the fight to end diabetes. Participating in the New England Classic (NEC) is an experience you will never forget. More than just a cycling event, it's a weekend or weeklong adventure cycling through picturesque towns, along the coast and through the mountains. Along the way we provide fully-stocked rest stops, mechanical support and SAG (support and gear) vehicles to keep you safe on the road. Riders stay in air-conditioned accommodations that include dinner and breakfast each day.
NEC 150 Two-Day Experience: Travel the back roads of the Merrimack Valley of Massachusetts into southern New Hampshire and along the seacoast. Day two takes you to coastal Maine past beaches, rocky coves and quaint villages. Day two ends with dinner and a celebration, then riders take chartered buses back to Bedford while their bicycles are transported there safely.
NEC 550 Seven-Day Experience: Sharing the first two days of its route with the New England Classic 150, riders leave coastal Maine, heading west into the White Mountain region, where the challenge rolls north up the Kancamagus Highway to Lincoln, NH. The journey continues the next day through Kinsman Notch and crosses the Connecticut River into Vermont. After a night in Montpelier, riders pedal the river valleys of the Green Mountains on scenic Route 100 to the Killington area and the welcome comfort of a ski resort. The trek continues through Vermont and then back into the Monadnock region of New Hampshire. The final leg heads to Central Massachusetts, winding its way to the finish in Bedford.
