Welcome to My 5th Annual 2019 Tour de Cure Web Page!
Hard to believe this is my 5th year! My goal is to raise $5k so I need everyones support. Last year was fabulous and 2019 will be another great year. The ride is 7 days in July with over 550 miles through beautiful northern New England.
Staying fit is now a year round activity. Like prior years the ride goes from Massachusetts to New Hampshire to Maine before heading back across northern New England to the Killington Vermont ski area before heading home. And for those that know New England the Kancamagus Highway is an especially fun ride. Riding 550+ miles is really just a small challenge though compared for those dealing with diabetes every single day!
It is my opportunity to help change the future and make a positive impact in the lives of those who are affected by diabetes. Diabetes has impacted our family personally with my daughter, Jen managing her diabetes every day. And you probably also know someone who has diabetes and inspires you each and every day!
I am committed to ride and raise money in this inspirational event not because 29 million people in the United States have diabetes, but because I personally know some of them, and I want to do something about it.
Chances are, you also know someone who has been affected by diabetes and you already know how important it is to stop this disease. By making a donation on my behalf or by joining my team, you will be helping the Association provide community-based education programs, protect the rights of people with diabetes and fund critical research for a cure.
With your help, we will fight for a future where a parent does not have to hear that their child has diabetes. A future where an adult does not have to face the uncertain times ahead after receiving a diabetes diagnosis. A future where you and I will know that we had a part in making this possible.
I truly appreciate your support in 2019. Together we can Stop Diabetes!
