Diabetes New England 150 Ride "HERE I COME" !
LEADING BY EXAMPLE.
2019 is here and so is the time for me to start working on my 5th American Diabetes Bicycle Ride.
Last year was a great success as I rode in the New England Classic 2 Day 150 miler from Bedford, MA to Biddeford, ME. Over the 2 days we had great weather and made some new friends who had come up from Texas to ride. With the highlight of the ride for them was taking selfies at the Bush Compund as the Texas flag was flying on the flag pole in the background.
This year I will ride as part of Team GCL ( Good Clean Livin) with 3 other friends and hopefully grab a few more along the way as we train for the July ride date.
As I do every year, I ride for my niece Danielle a beautiful young woman who was diagnosed with diabetes several years ago. Her spirit and positive attitude makes me realize my efforts are well worth all the time and training it takes to accomplish my ride.
My goal for this years ride is $3000 and I am asking once again for your help and generousity to make that a reality as you have done in the past.
Every donation makes such a big difference. The money we raise for the Association funds critical diabetes research, information programs, and advocacy efforts that support the nearly 30 million children and adults in the U.S. with diabetes, and the 86 million with pre-diabetes.
I am forever grateful for all of those willing to help and thank you for supporting me!
