My Brave Rave
My Life Has Been TOUCHED BY DIABETES.
I’m committed to ride and raise money in this inspirational event not because 29 million people in the United States have diabetes, but because my 15 year old daughter has been forever changed by diabetes. Her daily life of being a teenager consists of calculations to eat, multiple injections, and constant blood sugar monitoring. As her mother and as an athlete I ride to raise money for research to better HER life. In the year and a half since her diagnosis, I have watched her daily struggles and have devoted myself to follow the research being done to find cures for autoimmunity.
Please help support OUR FAMILY! I feel helpless most of the time as its not something I can fix for her, but I can ride a really far distance pushing myself to show that I love and support her, not to mention raising money for a pretty important and personal charitable organization.
No better time than now to support me in celebrating 26 years of continuous progress working to improve the lives of people with diabetes through research, advocacy and education.
