Welcome to Grace's Page
Hi there and thanks for visiting my page!
I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes three years ago. My life changed from that point on. Through all of the blood sugar checks, insulin pump changes, and continuous glucose monitor readings, life with this disease certainly has its highs and lows, literally. But what I've learned is that behind every person with diabetes, there is an amazing support system. My family and friends make me realize that I am not alone.
Nearly 30 million people are affected by diabetes and 3 million of those have Type 1. That's why I decided to make a difference in my life and the lives of others. I'm participating in the Tour de Cure cycling event on June 11 to raise money to prevent diabetes, fight the consequences, and improve the lives of all of those affected. I want to find a cure.
Will you donate to my future, and the future of the millions of others who experience the challenges of diabetes? No matter the amount, every donation makes a huge difference.
The money we raise:
- Funds critical diabetes research, informational programs, and advocacy efforts.
- Sends children to diabetes summer camp.
- Provides legal assistance for people with diabetes who experience discrimination.
- Trains school personnel to keep children with diabetes safe at school.
- And so much more!
YOU can change the future of diabetes and make a positive impact in the lives of all those affected. Thank you in advance!
