Join me in finding a cure for diabetes!
Welcome to my fundraising page!
I am asking you to support me in the Tour de Cure® because finding a cure for diabetes means so much to me.
I joined the Tour de Cure because today alone over 4,100 people will be diagnosed and because more than 30 million adults and children in the United States are living with this terrible disease.
21 years ago our lives changed forever. Our firstborn child was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She was just a few months past her 1st birthday. We were shaken to the core. But the journey was only beginning. Little did we know, 15 years later our youngest daughter would be diagnosed with type 1 diabetes before her 2nd birthday! While our faith in God has been tested, He's come through every time. Our daughters are healthy and have taught us so much about what is important in life. We have benefited greatly from the ADA and the incredible research that has been done. From continuous glucose monitoring, to insulin pumps, to advancements in research to find a cure, we continue to be thankful that our daughters can live normal lives. This year I'm stepping up to raise funds to continue the quest for a cure for this disease. I don't know if we will ever discover one, but I know that research continues to discover new ways to make a diabetic's life better.
Today, I'm asking you to consider joining me to raise funds to help the ADA find a cure and better the lives of those living with diabetes. I'm riding in the Tour de Cure cycling event in Parkville MO, on June 16, 2018. My goal is to raise at least $500.
