Welcome to my Tour de Cure page!
I am asking you to support me in the Tour de Cure® because finding a cure for diabetes is urgent and personally means so much to me. I've lived with a diabetes diagnosis since 2010. In 2020, after a decade living with this disease, my New Year's resolution was to get healthy and fully in control of my diabetes with behavioral changes. Picking up cycling was part of this effort. It was one of the best things I've done for my health. Beyond good exercise, cycling became my motivation to really take control of my diet and to focus on getting to a healthy weight in order to be able to ride more efficiently. Since I started cycling and a cycling performance focused diet, I've shed 30lbs, 2 pants sizes, and 4 medications while still maintaining excellent blood sugar levels. I've cycled over 1300 miles since I started in April, averaging 50 miles/week. I'm hoping that my work in 2021 as a Red Rider will help me continue on this good health trend, while also contributing to an organization whose work has helped myself and so many others struggling with this disease. Please consider donating on my page below! Thanks!
This year Tour de Cure celebrates 30 years of making an impact in communities nationwide and I’m riding to champion the over 34 million Americans living with this terrible disease because they need our support.
Help Me Reach My Goal! When you donate you make an immediate impact:
- You spread awareness of the devastating effects of diabetes.
- You advocate for a child with diabetes to have the same learning opportunities at school.
- You fund life-saving research that will bring us closer to a cure.
- You provide access to community programs and free resources that help those living with diabetes.
By participating in the Tour de Cure, I hope to inspire others to join me in this vital mission.
Thank you for making a generous donation to this cause that is so important to me.
