Welcome to Craig's 2017 Tour de Cure Web Page!
Craig in 2016 Tour de Cure!
First, thank you for everyone who has supported me over the last ten years. I have been able to raise almost $20,000 dollars for the American Diabetes Association. As many of you know my son Matthew (Who is a Red Rider in this event) has type I diabetes. He is the reason I got involved with this event and have participated all these years. Your support for me on this ride is to help people like Matt who live with this disease every day of their lives. Tremendous work is being done to find a cure. It may be in our lifetime that this disease is cured! The research has to be funded though so I am asking for your support. I will ride the metric century (62.5 miles) this year as my goal for this event. Please sponsor me!
I designed all the new routes for this ride. We have totally revamped the tour with many new routes and with a much more scenic view of Western New York. For example the 65/100 mile routes start at the top of the Niagara escarpment and got through Joseph Davis State Park, Follows the scenic and historic Niagara River through the village of Youngstown. It then goes Through Historic Old Fort Niagara and then along Lake Ontario to State Parks in Wilson, Olcott and Sommerset NY. We then turn south and Cross the Historic Erie Canal and go up the escarpment and back to the starting point at Niagara Community College.
Please support me with a donation by selecting the "Click Here to Sponsor Me" button. Our efforts will help set the pace in the fight against diabetes. So let's get in gear and bike to beat diabetes!
Help Make a Difference!
Pedal power works!
Each mile I ride, each dollar I raise will be used in the fight to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
No matter how small or large, your generous gift will help improve the lives of the more than 18 million Americans who suffer from diabetes, in the hope that future generations can live in a world without this disease. Together, we can all make a difference!
Thank you for making a generous contribution to this cause that is so important to me!
