Andy's Tour de Cure experience
SO MANY LIVES ARE TOUCHED BY DIABETES. CHANCES ARE YOUR LIFE IS TOO.
This May 17th I'm going to bicycle 62 miles as part of the American Diabetes Association's North Shore Tour de Cure. This will be my 13th ADA TDC. This year I’m riding the Topsfield event again. The region is excellent for riding outside the busy Summer season and I've done this in the Spring and the http://rideforangels.info/ in September.
I've had some great indoor training 2x a week in spin class, outdoor rides. This year the outdoor rides this year have been dampened a bit by the weather, but we'll do our best.
Participating in this ride is important to me. I've lost loved ones and I'm watching loved ones live with diabetes. I see kids with Type I diabetes challenged by the constraints of constant self-monitoring. The American Diabetes Association doesn't just search for a cure for the disease, they provide support and direction to those who currently have the disease. Wouldn't it be great if the funds raised here could reverse their situation and help others adjust to living with the disease?
This is why I ride. This is why I am asking for your support.
With funds raised by this event, the American Diabetes Association will be able to support more research to find a cure and provide more education on how to prevent diabetes or live better with diabetes.
Please support my ride by clicking the red "DONATE TO ME" button on the right.
If you wish to donate by check or cash, please let me know. email@example.com
I have personal fundraising goals as well as support for TEAM Dell Technologies. Any donation to me will support my team's goal as well.
