2017 Tour De Cure Home of Carmine Costanzo
Please support me in the 2017 Albany Area Tour de Cure!
On Sunday, June 4, 2017, I plan on joining hundreds of local cyclists throughout the Capital Region to participate in the Tour de Cure, an annual cycling event to benefit the American Diabetes Association. 2017 will be my 17th year riding in the Albany Area Tour and will be riding the 50 mile course on the Kivort Steel Cycling Team. Each and everyone of us all know a family member or freind who struggles with this terrible disease. I hope that you might consider helping out and donating to my ride to help support the mission of the American Diabetes Association and hopefully find a cure.
As many of you know, I have been involved with this wonderful organization as past chairperson of the event and as a member of the planning committee. I am proud to say that at last years event, our local tour hit our goal and raised over $1.5 MILLION DOLLARS thanks to the support and effort of many volunteers and donors.
Once again I ask for the support of my friends, family and business associates. I have set a personal fundraising goal of $2000.00 and ask that you consider helping me reach my goal. Your financial support, no matter how large or small will ensure that the many programs, education and research done by the American Diabetes Association will continue.
Help Make a Difference!
As many of you may know, my dear mother, Raphael Costanzo, died on October 18, 1998, after a long and hard battle with diabetes. I became involved in the Tour and the American Diabetes Association shortly thereafter as a tribute to her memory and to support their mission to prevent and cure diabetes.
Each mile I ride, each dollar I raise will be used in the fight to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
No matter how small or large, your generous gift will help improve the lives of more than 20 million Americans who suffer from diabetes, in the hope that future generations can live in a world without this disease. Together, we can all make a difference!
Thank you for making a generous contribution to this cause that is so important to me! I dedicate my efforts and your support to the memory of my dear mother.
