Tegan is healthier and safer because of your donation
Tour de Cure #13
When I was 7 years old, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. It was Christmas night, and I didn't understand how much diabetes would change my life until much later. Thankfully, the ADA helped me through struggles at school with managing my health.
The Safe at Schools program allowed me to become more independent in taking care of myself, as I managed my diabetes on my own at school since 6th grade. I survived elementary school, middle school, and high school with no major diabetes-related problems, and I am forever grateful for that. This program is funded by the ADA, so by donating or participating in the Tour de Cure, you can help other kids like me.
The ADA's funding also goes towards better treatment for diabetics, research for a cure, advocacy for raising awareness, and improving the lives of diabetics. Your donation means a lot to me, my dad, my family, and everyone else affected by this disease.
