This time it’s PERSONAL!!!
No, I don’t have diabetes, but I do have a new personal reason for completing this year’s Tour de Cure on May 10. I pushed a little too hard on the elliptical machine at the gym in January and threw my heart out of rhythm. I had to be shocked twice, while fully conscious, and flown by helicopter to Corpus Christi. It turns out that I had a small blockage that I didn’t know about. I got it fixed, so I’m back at work, back at the gym, and doing well. But now I feel like I have another reason to get on the bike and prove to myself that I can do this ride.
Of course, getting ready also means I need to raise some funds. I hate asking people for money, but this is a great cause and I know there are many generous people out there. I'm sure we can come up with some funds to support ADA.
If you would like to, you can support me with a donation by selecting the "Donate to Me" link. All donations are appreciated. Our efforts will help set the pace in the fight against diabetes. So let's get in gear to beat diabetes!
Help Make a Difference!
Pedal power works!
Each mile I ride, and the funds I raise will be used in the fight to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
No matter how small or large, your generous gift will help improve the lives of more than 23 million Americans who suffer from diabetes, in the hope that future generations can live in a world without this disease. Together, we can all make a difference!
Thank you for making a generous contribution to this cause that is so important to me!
