As you may know other than riding my bicycle for fun I love riding for a reason. It's one of those things that you have to experience in order to know what I'm talking about. I get much personal satisfaction when I receive a heartfelt "THANKS" from a person that would benefit from my riding and my fundraising. This is why I ride for the American Diabetes Association. They money raised will help lead the fight against the consequences of diabetes and fight for those affected.
Here is ADA's mission:
* To fund research to prevent cure and manage diabetes.
* To deliver services to hundreds of communities.
* To provide objective and credible information.
* To give voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes.
I ride because my father-in-law has diabetes type 2 and I want to help raise funds to benefit him and people like him. I know several friends with diabetes type 2 one of them got diagnosed recently. I also want to ride to support the millions of diabetes patients in the US and abroad as I am seeing the effects of this disease and how it affects their daily lives. Every little help counts.
I'll be doing my part by cycling 100 miles in the upcoming American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure fund-raising event. I would be honored to have you sponsor me on this ride. Please select the "Donate to Jorge" link. For locals to Northern California you can come join me on the beautiful and challenging 100 mile course or if you prefer shorter rides do the 62 miles, the 32 miles or even the short 10 miles! Just click on "Join Jorge's team" above! Help make a difference in the lives of MILLIONS of diabetes patients including my father-in-law and my close friends. They will appreciate your sponsorship very much!
Each mile I ride and the funds I raise will be used to further the mission of the American Diabetes Association in the fight to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. Together we can all make a difference!
Thank you for sponsoring me! If you decide to join my team welcome!
