Jeff C Kitson's 2020 Tour de Cure - Personal Page
Welcome to my ADA Michigan 2020 Tour de Cure fundraising page!
With the encouragement of my daughter following my heart attack in 2008, I have cycled the annual Michigan Tour de Cure several times over the last few years. (Exceptions being a few (medical) interruptions along the way). As a sailor/boater who frequents Belle Isle on a weekly basis, it is a great location for riders of all levels. While cycling Belle Isle, (a reviving island jewel situated between two countries), you can enjoy the views of Detroit, Windsor, local sailing, international shipping, Detroit Yacht Club, Dossin Great Lakes Museum, Belle Isle Conservatory, Belle Isle Aquarium, etc., and scenic cycling stretches along Lakeshore Dr., stopping at GPYC.
I prefer to self fund my minimum fundraising requirement. However, if you would like to make a donation it would be very much appreciated ... or better yet REGISTER YOURSELF and join us for the ride!
I re-joined the Tour de Cure because TODAY ALONE over 4,100 people will be diagnosed and because more than 30 million adults and children in the United States are living with this terrible disease. I myself have been a diagnosed diabetic for over ten years. I believe prior to my diagnosis in 2008, being a diabetic contributed to my heart attack and cancers.
Thanks in advance,
Jeff C Kitson

When you donate:
* You spread awareness of the devastating effects of diabetes.
* You advocate for a child discriminated against in school because of diabetes.
* You fund life-saving research.
* You provide access to community programs and free resources that help those living with diabetes
By participating in the Tour de Cure, I hope to inspire others to join me and raise money.
