Welcome to Susan's DC Step Out Page!
Dear Friends and Family,
I know! Another ask for donations and believe me, this is never easy to do. I imagine lately, your hearts and wallets have been going out to help people going through recent and multiple natural disasters around the country. BUT, the thing is, despite all that is going on in the world, good and bad, dealing with Diabetes never, ever goes away, no matter where you live, or dodging hurricanes and floods.
Once again, as I do every year, I've registered to participate in the DC Step Out Walk/Tour de Cure (which is tomorrow by the way!) and I'm trying to raise money to prevent diabetes, to fight the consequences and to improve the lives of all of those affected. I want to find a cure for my husband Gil, my mother Dorene, my uncle Donnie, my cousin Robin, my co-workers, my volunteers, my friends and their children, and ALL people who have diabetes.
So many people are affected by diabetes and I want to do something about this disease. You can too, just by donating to the American Diabetes Association on my behalf. I understand that budgets are tight for many of us, but it would mean so much to me and small donations of $5- $10 add up quickly.
Your donation makes a big difference. The money we raise for the Association funds critical diabetes research, information programs, and advocacy efforts that support the nearly 30 million children and adults in the U.S. with diabetes, and the 86 million with pre-diabetes.
Thank you for supporting me!
