Welcome to My Tour de Cure Web Page!
IN MEMORY OF MY BROTHER, DAVID LEE. Please consider a donation to the 2020 Rochester Tour de Cure to support the American Diabetes Association!
I hope this finds you and your family well. What a long, strange trip it's been.
I have participated in the Rochester Tour de Cure for the past 10 years primarily to support my brother, David, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 20 while he was in college. Unfortunately, David died two years ago at the age of 62 as a result of long, drawn out complications from his disease. David's premature death is only one example of the toll that diabetes takes on those who suffer from the disease itself and those who are destined to care for those afflicted with it.
For obvious reasons, the Rochester Tour de Cure scheduled for the beginning of June was cancelled this year. We are now holding a virtual event scheduled for October 3. I plan to ride my bike 100 miles on that date (or thereabouts) in support of the Tour de Cure and the American Diabetes Association. I am hoping that all of you will support me in that effort by making a donatioin to the 2020 Rochester Tour de Cure to support the American Diabetes Association.
The funds I raise will be used in the fight to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of al people affected by diabetes. No matter how small or large, your generous gift will help improve the lives of millions of people who suffer from diabetes, with the hope that future generations can live in a world without this terrible disease. Together, we can all make a difference!
Best regards to all,
P.S. If you prefer to make a donation by check, please make it payable to the American Diabetes Association and send it to me by mail at 117 Shoreham Drive, Rochester, NY 14618.
