Welcome to Greg Brown's Tour de Cure Web Page!
SUPPORT ME IN TOUR DE CURE!
On June 14th I will be joining thousands of other riders in Los Altos to participate in Tour de Cure, supporting the American Diabetes Association. By making a donation on my behalf, you will be supporting the Association's research effort while also helping fund programs and advocacy.
Over the last few years, I have come in contact with young and mature that have been affected by this disease. It is more prevalent and devistating that I was aware. As a result, I have decided to take a day again this year to hopefully make an impact and to further the cause of finding a cure. I am personally riding for countless brave young people including, Josh M. age 18, Joey B. age 18, and Brooke P. who are friends of the family that are dealing with Type I diabetes.
I am a member of a group of local South Bay cyclists, the Big Ring Riders, who ride for fun, fitness and to raise serious dollars for diabetes research. Last year the Big Ring Riders raised over $35,000 for research and our goal is to exceed that amount this year. WE ARE PROUD TO CONTINUE BEING ONE OF THE HIGHEST FRIENDS AND FAMILY TEAM FUNDRAISERS FOR THE TOUR! WE HAVE RAISED OVER $250,000 SINCE WE STARTED IN 2009. BRAVO TO ALL OF YOU!
My goal is to raise at least $3,000. Help me reach my goal by supporting me in this year's Tour de Cure. Please follow the link to my personal Web page below to make a secure, 100% tax deductible donation. If you prefer to donate by check, please make your check payable to the American Diabetes Association and courier to me in the San Jose office.
The dollars we raise for the American Diabetes Association fund research, provide services, and raise awareness of diabetes. I believe in the work they do, and I invite you to join me in this effort. More than 25 million Americans live with diabetes, and your support can and will make a difference in their lives.
Please help by making a donation - large or small - to support the work of the American Diabetes Association. Or, why not join me on the day of the event? Become a participant and side by side, as teammates, we can work together to STOP DIABETES!
Whatever you can give will help! I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.
Thank you for making a generous contribution to this cause that is so important to me!
