Welcome to Jim Anderson's Tour de Cure Web Page!
Hi. My name is Jim Anderson and I am lucky and blessed enough to say I HAD Type 2 Diabetes.
March 1 2011 I weighed 367 pounds and I was sick. I found myself in New York City with my family trying to keep up with them while walking around the city. I discovered that I was unable to participate in life with my wife and daughter. I was unable to travel comfortably as my job required. My doctor said we had reached the tipping point that controlling my "diet" (which was a joke) was no longer working so I was going to start on a course of oral medication to control it. This is not what I wanted to hear. That started my journey to where I am today.
I went through one pass of bariatic surgery and have since had a subsequent revision. I'm on a new journey and dropping weight and getting my A1C back under control.
Please consider making a contribution to the ADA. TdC Saratoga Springs raised $1.3 million dollars last year. We were second ONLY to the TdC in Napa Valley! The team I am part of is 100 strong and is on track to raise $100,000 themselves this year.

Please help if you can!
