I may have diabetes ...
but diabetes doesn't have me!
Support me in the Chicagoland, New England Classic, and Indianopolis, Tour de Cures!
I will be riding 615 miles (not a typo) in two American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure fundraising events (this is my 8th year riding and 9th & 10th Tour de Cure). Please support me with a donation by clicking on the "Donate To Me" button. Our efforts will help set the pace in the fight against diabetes. So let's get in gear (pun intended) and ride to Stop Diabetes!
In June, I'll be riding 65 miles in the Chicago Tour de Cure and in July I'll be riding 550 miles in the New England Classic. That's how important this is to me.
Help Make a Difference in the fight against diabetes!
Each mile I ride, and the funds I raise will be used in the fight to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
No matter how small or large, your generous gift will help improve the lives of nearly 29 million Americans who suffer from diabetes (myself included), in the hope that future generations can live in a world without this disease. Together, we can all make a difference!
Consider your donation an investment in a diabetes free future.
Last year I raised more than $6500 ... my goal this year is to at least raise $6550.
Why I ride:
I ride for my health ... riding helps me keep my own diabetes under control.
I also ride for love ... as my wife Ginny was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes also.
And finally ... I ride to raise money so that, one day, my friends & family won't have to deal with diabetes.
I'm getting involved!
Once again I'm taking on the mantle of Captain of Team RED Chicago. Last year our team raised more than $84000! I hope to take the team to even higher levels this year.
Thanks to everyone who sponsored me in 2018!
In 2018 I rode 565 miles and raised more than $6600.
Thanks very much to everyone who sponsored me for the ride.

Periodically I write about diabetes on my blog, GeekyRamblings, if you're interested in my perspectives.
