Please Help Find a Cure for My Sister
My name is Jamie and I am a Type 3. Type 3s do not live with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, but are extremely supportive of someone who is severely burdened by diabetes. My sister, Paige, has Type 1 and it is very hard for her. I want to raise money to find a cure because I don't want her to suffer anymore.
This year, I was selected by the American Diabetes Association to be a youth advocate. I am doing everything I can to help people living with diabetes. I decided to make a difference by riding 29 miles in the Portland/SW Washington Tour de Cure.
So many people are affected by diabetes and I want to do something about this disease. You can too, just by donating to the American Diabetes Association on my behalf. It would mean so much to me.
Every donation makes such a big difference. The money we raise for the Association funds critical diabetes research, information programs, and advocacy efforts that support the nearly 30 million children and adults in the U.S. with diabetes, and the 86 million with pre-diabetes.
I am forever grateful for all of those willing to help and thank you for supporting me!
