Mitur's TdC Page
After being a Type II Diabetic for roughly 20 years, I had a gastric bypass in April 2013. Within a few weeks I was off my diabetic meds and within a year I had lost 100lbs. A lot of that weight was burned on top of a bike and training for the 100 mile course of the Tour de Cure 2014. However, I'll always be diabetic: I am just managing it by controlling my weight and exercising.
This year, the Chicagoland Tour de Cure was rescheduled after I put plans in motion to ride Dirty Kanza 200 (as in 200 miles on gravel); both are on the same weekend, 600 miles apart. Getting ready for DK 200 will require lots of effort and training. I am motivated to do whatever it takes to finish it, and having it be my Tour de Cure ride this year adds to that motivation.
Please help me achieve my fundraising goal, any amount helps!
