Tour de Cure 2018
It's time for the annual Tour de Cure Seri Family Ride! This year will be a milestone, as it will be my 5th ride!
My brother, Ariel, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes about 15 years ago, just as he was starting his first semester of college. Not a day goes by that I stop thinking about how this has affected his life...and how impressed I am by how he has handled everything. I also ride to support my friends with type 1 (shout outs to Rachel & Anna) - I’m always thinking of you!
I am so grateful to those of you who donated to the American Diabetes Association last year and helped me exceed my fundraising goal! Thanks to you, I was able to raise just over $2,200, which was the most I’ve ever raised individually (!). As a family, we Seris raised over $11,000 and were invited to attend Dont'a Hightower's ADA event with some other Patriots last fall! I’m shooting to repeat my success this year and would love your help to reach my goal of $2,000 before the June 3rd ride (just click on the link on my page). No matter what the amount, every donation will make a difference!
Seeing Ariel and the other “red riders” participating in the Tour de Cure reminded me of the impact we can make by supporting any disease-curing cause. Chances are, you also know someone who has been affected by diabetes and you already know how important it is to stop this disease. By making a donation, you will be helping the Association provide community-based education programs, protect the rights of people with diabetes and fund critical research for a cure.
I am hopeful for the day that all of our efforts will, one day, finally put a stop to diabetes.
Thank you again for your support!
