WE’RE MAKING A DIFFERENCE. YOU CAN TOO.
Our team is supporting the American Diabetes Association because we want to make a difference. We want to lead. We want to inspire. We want to empower!
We are teaming up now to change the future and make a positive impact in the lives of those who are affected by diabetes. We are committed to participate together and raise money through this inspirational event not just because nearly 30 million people in the United States have diabetes, but because we personally know some of them, and want to do something about it.
We do this for Daniel DeNeice. He had Type 2 Diabetes as a result of always being a huge (tall/250lb+) guy. He did make radical changes later in his life and got moving by riding his road bike all over the neighborhood. But, the great changes he made were too late for some things and he struggled with complications from Diabetes in his last years and sadly passed away in 2007 from heart failure. His absence has always been felt in our family and we wish that we would have gotten the time to ride more with him. We ride for him because we know if this race had been around when he was healthy he would have kicked everyone’s butt. We ride for him, because we don’t want anyone else in my family or yours to get their life cut short or diminished by having Type 2 Diabetes. We strongly support advocacy and education in the hopes that others can make the changes before it’s too late for them.
If you can't join us, support us!
By making a donation or joining our team, you will be helping the Association provide community-based education programs, protect the rights of people with diabetes and fund critical research for a cure.
As a team, united in our vision of a life free of diabetes and all its burdens; we are asking for your support. Please make a donation to one of our team members or join us by registering on our team. When we bring together dedicated team members and kind donors, the power we have as a group far outweighs what any of us could do alone.
We are determined to reach our team goal, one person at a time. So let's get in gear and make a difference together!
