Team Joe Nedza
Our Team is Making a difference. You can too!! Join Team Joe Nedza!! Or Donate!! You can Ride, Walk, or Run with the team!!
On June 10th we'll be riding, walking, and running in the Tour de Cure Chicagoland ride in Aurora!! Please support us with a donation by selecting the "Donate" button for the team or any team member. Our efforts will help set the pace in the fight against diabetes.
Team Joe Nedza was named in honor of Bill Nedza's Dad Joe, who, after many years of living with and fighting against diabetes, passed away from a combination of physical complications. We know he would have lived longer had he not had to battle the effects of diabetes for so many years. Every time Bill finished a Tour de Cure the first call he made was to his Dad, and his first words were "well, how did you do?", because Bill always had set a goal for the ride so he could challenge himself as a reminder how Joe was challenged by diabetes. Bill himself was recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, family genetics catching up with him, in spite of a healthy lifestyle.
We're teaming up to change the future and make a positive impact in the lives of those who are affected by diabetes. We are committed to participate together and raise money through this inspirational event not just because over 30 million people in the United States have diabetes, but because so many of us personally know some of them, and want to do something about it.
This year, you can run, ride or walk with our team at Tour de Cure! If you can't join our team, support us with a donation!
By making a donation or joining our team, you will be helping the Association provide community-based education programs, protect the rights of people with diabetes, fund critical research, provide education for people with diaebetes, and provide a huge amount of resources for people living with the disease and the families effected by diabetes.
When we bring together dedicated team members and generous donors, the power we have as a group far outweighs what any of us could do alone.
We are determined to reach our team goal, one person at a time. So let's make a difference together!
