Welcome to 2017 North Shore Tour de Cure

Are You Ready to Ride?  Here's What You Need to Know!

The North Shore Tour de Cure is almost here!  Check out all the important event details that you'll need for the big day including what to bring, directions, parking, schedule of event, route details and more.

WE RIDE RAIN OR SHINE! Diabetes doesn't slow down for bad weather, and neither do we. Please check the forecast and prepare accordingly.  Keep an eye on our website, your email, and our Facebook page as we will post any updates or changes to routes in the event of inclement weather.

Still need to register? Online registration is now closed. Anyone wishing to register can do so the morning of the ride and pay the $35 or $125 walk on fee, plus the $200 fundraising minimum.  See our event info page for walk-on details.

Packet Pick-Up:  The Four Points by Sheraton in Wakefield will be hosting packet pick-up on Saturday, May 20 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.  Our volunteers cannot accept donations that day, so we are only asking that riders at the $200 minimum (or Gran Fondo riders who have paid the full registration fee) to pick-up at Four Points by Sheraton. If you are at the minimum but still have donations, you can check-in at Four Points, get your packet, and drop off your donations at Express Check-In on Sunday.

The Tour de Cure Event Day is Like No Other!

Participating in the Tour de Cure is an experience you will never forget. More than just a cycling event, the North Shore Tour de Cure is a celebration, bringing together cyclists of all ages and ability levels to Stop Diabetes®!  Located at the famous Topsfield Fairgrounds, you will leave on one of five fantastic rides, then cross the finish line and enjoy a festival full of fun, food, family, and friends!

Our five routes are designed to appeal to all skill levels. Enjoy scenic views of traditional New England landscapes and charming countryside on an epic ride through Massachusetts' North Shore.  All routes are fully-supported with rest stops stocked with refreshments, SAG (support and gear) vehicles, medical support, bike mechanics, and volunteers to cheer you along the way.

If you are looking for a truly epic challenge, then our 100 Mile Gran Fondo is the ride for you.  A true test of endurance for the experienced cyclist, this route includes two timed segments for fantastic prizes, challenging climbs and a variety of terrain throughout the North Shore of Massachusetts.

Make a difference and register for the Tour de Cure today!  You will be inspired by all of those joining you as you make an impact for this great cause.

Introducing the Gravel Ride - New for 2017!

A gravel, or adventure ride, is a ride that consists of a mix of pavement and gravel roads and light trails. Typically, riders use a bike that is a modified road bike (fatter, larger volume tires), a cyclocross bike, or what is now becoming a segment of bicycles known as gravel or Randonee bikes. These bikes have disc brakes and large volume tires with some knobs for traction. A mountain bike with 29" wheels would be a good choice also, but might make it difficult to keep pace on paved sections. Visit our Route page for full details.

If you're up for this new challenge, sign up and select one of the "100k Gravel Ride" participant options.  If you have already registered for the Tour and would like to switch to the gravel ride, email Tara at or Sandy at
