Thank you so much for your tremendous support! Your passion, commitment and energy made the Tour de Cure: Ocean State a huge success. We couldn't have done it without you!
More than 450 participants rode, ran or walked with us last week. We have raised more than $210,000 of our $400,000 goal for this year. Can you help us get there?
Please join us in thanking our local sponsors, vendors, and the volunteers who have supported the Tour throughout the year. Their generosity played a huge role in this year's success.
Just because the event is over doesn't mean everything else is. Here are some important reminders:
Recognition Gift Deadline: You have through July 3 to continue fundraising for an official Tour de Cure jersey, zip-up wind vest if you raised $500 or the “Champions” jersey or hoodie sweatshirt if you raise $1,000. If you have reached these marks, be sure to watch for emails in the coming weeks asking for your choice of gift and size.
Just log-in to your Participant Center now and keep up the fundraising momentum.
Post-Event Fundraising: Your Participant Center will remain open for online fundraising, and cash/check donations can be sent to our local office at the address below. Please include a note with your name so we can credit the gift to you.

Matching Gifts: Take a minute to check our matching gift search and see if you or any of your donors work for a company that matches gifts. Typically all that's required is filling out a short form and including a donation receipt. Some companies will even match what you collect as a participant.
Event Photos and Videos: Our event photos are coming soon. Other photos taken by volunteers will be posted soon on our Facebook page. Make sure to tag yourself and any of your fellow participants.
Event Feedback: What did you like? What can we improve? We want to make Tour de Cure: Ocean State the best event it can be, so please reach out to us with any feedback.
Committee Recruitment: Want to help plan the 2019 Tour? Our Committee is always looking for new members to help with recruitment, publicity, logistics, fundraising and so much more. If you or anyone you know is interested, contact Tim at TWilson@diabetes.org.
We hope you enjoyed the Tour as much as we enjoyed putting it on for you. On behalf of the American Diabetes Association, the Committee, and the 30 million people living with diabetes, thank you for bringing us closer to a life free of diabetes and all its burdens.
Your Ocean State Tour de Cure Team
