Event Highlights
Thank you for your support of the 2013 Tour de Cure! 1,200 registered riders,
over 350 volunteers,
and perfect riding weather combined to make this year's Tour de Cure the best
yet! Additional updates on our fundraising goals will be
communicated as we receive final numbers!
Just a reminder to send in any additional donations received since the Tour
de Cure. Donations made online or postmarked by April 12, 2013 will
count toward your Thank You Gifts!
and team totals (read below for additional information on Thank You Gift
redemption).
The Tour de Cure website will remain "live" for 60 days and
donations will still be accepted online, or may be sent to:

Now is a great time to send a thank you e-mail with pictures from the event
and your personal experience on the ride, or to offer potential donors another
opportunity to support your participation in the Tour de Cure with a
contribution! The FACEBOOK application available via your Tour
Center would be a great way to communicate with donors and share your
photos!

Our professional photographers (thank you to SteelyFeather Studios and Neenz
Unique Photography!) who were at the stat/finish and on the route will be
sending us their photos this week and we will collect them all on one site for
your to view.

THANK YOU GIFT REDEMPTION
If you qualify for a Thank
You Gift (raised more than $ 250+), you will receive a certificate in
approximately three to four weeks. The certificate will include the website
to select the gift of your choice (select from at least 10 items at each
level!), as well as an authorization code to redeem the gift. The
turn-around time is very prompt; you should then receive your gift in just a
few days. If you select Tour de Cure Commemorative clothing, you will be
asked for your size at the time of redemption.
Tour de Cure Survey
– is electronic! Look for a survey to arrive via e-mail this week.
We appreciate the time you take to share your feedback, and will use the input
in the planning of next year's Tour de Cure.

TOUR DE CURE The 2014 Tour de Cure website will be open
in late May. All past participants will receive an e-mail with the link
to the registration page and a special registration offer.

Champions To Stop Diabetes
When you ride in Tour de Cure, you take part in something unique. You join the ranks of some of the most passionate people in the country people who care about cycling, health and, above all, finding a cure for diabetes.
If you raise $1,000 or more for a local Tour de Cure you will automatically become a Champion to Stop Diabetes and will receive special recognition on the weekend of the event, along with special perks all year long!
If you raise $2,600, in honor of the 26 million Americans living with diabetes, you will become a Champion on a Mission and will receive the coveted gold Champions jersey.

Thousands of people with diabetes participate in Tour as "Red Riders". Red Riders are the reason we ride—they are given a jersey to proudly wear on the day of the event.

Beyond the recognition, Red Riders are part of a community that inspires us to ride and raise money to Stop Diabetes. Be sure to choose "Red Rider" when you register!

Thank You Gifts
Tour de Cure participants can earn a variety of exciting thank you gifts including exclusive apparel, popular electronics, and more! They represent our thanks for reaching higher fundraising levels to fund the mission of the American Diabetes Association and the 26 million Americans with diabetes we serve. All registered participants raising the $175 minimum fundraising amount will receive a commemorative Tour de Cure event T-shirt on the day of the local event. Raise $250 or more and you'll earn your choice of thank you gifts!

Team Red
Team Red is for Red Riders (participants with type 1 or type 2 diabetes), their family, friends and anyone else who is looking to join with millions of others who want to Stop Diabetes! Any rider who isn't already on another team can join Team Red.
Being on Team Red means that you will instantly be a part of a community made up of people from all different areas and walks of life. Team Red is a great way to connect with other families supporting a Red Rider and other families that are honoring a loved one with diabetes.
If I don't have diabetes, can I join Team Red? YES! You can join Team Red, which is made up of Red Riders AND those who support Red Riders. This is a team for anyone who doesn't already have a team.
