Tour de Cure is more than just a cycling event. It's a life-changing event. A day full of fun and excitement where riders of all levels join forces in the fight to Stop Diabetes® and raise critical funds for diabetes research, education and advocacy in support of the American Diabetes Association.

The Finger Lakes Tour de Cure offers cyclists of all ages and experience levels the opportunity to enjoy the unparalleled beauty of the Finger Lakes Region, New York’s answer to Napa Valley! The 10, 20, 35, 62.5 and 100 mile routes are positioned throughout the Finger Lakes Region and showcase the beautiful wine trails, the rolling hills and waterfalls, and picturesque views of Seneca Lake. No matter the distance you choose you will be riding to help us raise funds to STOP DIABETES.

You’ll start the day with a complimentary breakfast to help you get fueled up for your ride. Once you finish, join us at our finish line festival, complete with a catered lunch, complimentary massage tent, music, vendor booths and more!

All of our routes have safety vehicles, friendly volunteers and fully stocked rest stops to ensure you have a safe and fun ride. Links to route maps will be posted as the event date approaches. The only prerequisite for this event is a can-do attitude and a fundraising of $150.

The Tour is a ride, not a race. Whether you are an occasional rider or an experienced cyclist, there is a route just for you.

So take the Ride of Your Life and sign up today!

Routes for All Skill Levels

The Tour de Cure prides itself on being a safe and fun ride. All our routes are marked by color directional signs depending on your route. The 100 mile for instance will follow the red signs. Rest stops are waiting for you every 10 - 12 miles and there is full support from bike shop mechanics in case you need some help with a flat tire.

The route maps will be posted soon, so make sure you check back. This year you will be able to downlaod the GPS coordinates if you want them for your own GPS device.

Meet Our 2013 Youth Ambassadors!

 Vandruff Boys

Hello, we are 11 year old twin brothers Ian and Caleb VanDruff. We have lived with Type 1 Diabetes since we were 7 years old. We are just average boys that enjoy life to the fullest we love sports playing with our friends and riding our bikes. We got involved with the Tour de Cure in 2012 when our Dad signed up to ride.  He thought it would be a great idea if we rode too since it was something that would help us in the future. We rode the 10 mile course and couldn’t wait to sign up for the 2013 ride where we will do 35 miles. The Tour de Cure was a big family event for us we rode with our cousin. Our Mom and sister both volunteered and so did our grandparents, and family friends. It was an amazing day! Living with diabetes we don’t get a lot of chances to get away from our parents but last summer we got to go to Camp Setebaid a kids diabetes camp let’s just say it was the best time ever. We are looking forward to returning to Camp Setebaid this year and will also be going to ADA Camp Aspire. We are honored to be youth ambassadors for the Finger Lakes Tour de Cure, and we hope you come out and ride with us!
