Do you or someone you know have diabetes?
Thousands of people with diabetes participate in Tour as "Red Riders". Red Riders are the reason we ride—they are given a jersey to proudly wear on the day of the event. Beyond the recognition, Red Riders are part of a community that inspires us to ride and raise money to Stop Diabetes. Be sure to choose "Red Rider" when you register!

Champions To Stop Diabetes
When you ride in Tour de Cure, you take part in something unique. You join the ranks of some of the most passionate people in the country people who care about cycling, health and, above all, finding a cure for diabetes.
If you raise $1,000 or more for a local Tour de Cure you will automatically become a Champion to Stop Diabetes and will receive special recognition on the weekend of the event, along with special perks all year long!
If you raise $2,600, in honor of the 26 million Americans living with diabetes, you will become a Champion on a Mission and will receive the coveted gold Champions jersey.

Local News & Events

We need Volunteer Support! Volunteering is a fun way to get involved and meet other people who support the work of the American Diabetes Association. We are looking for over 200 volunteers to make sure that our riders get the hydration they want, the direction they need and the inspiration to reach the finish line. If you're interested, please contact Jackie Cook at jcook@diabetes.org.
Route Marshals needed! We are looking for individuals who will serve as safety marshals throughout our three routes. They will support riders with basic mechanical and medical needs until a SAG vehicle arrives. You will help be the eyes and ears of the route.
SAG Vehicle Drivers NEEDED! Each vehicle patrols a section of the route between rest stops, lending assistance and transportation to injured cyclists, cyclists needing technical support, etc. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and a vehicle able to transport both bikes and passengers.
Cheerleaders NEEDED! Want to be a part of the cheerleading squad? Don't worry! There's no uniforms required! Just lots of enthusiasm, a loud voice, and passion! We need people to cheer our riders on as they leave the start line and come barreling through the finish line! Remember, a lot of our cyclists are riding with diabetes, give them the support they need to get through the last part of the race!
Help with our TENTS! Are you organized, patient, and friendly? We'd love for your assistance! We need a lot of help with registration and food tents! We're hosting over 600 riders and they need some great people keeping everything in line and running on schedule!
