Event Highlights
Once again this year, the American Diabetes Association is proud to be an official Charity Partner of MB Financial Bank Bike the Drive, through our Tour de Cure at MB Financial Bank Bike the Drive program.
By registering to ride with us, you will not only be committing to take part in the MB Financial Bank Bike the Drive, but you'll also be raising funds and promoting awareness of diabetes. Register to ride with us today, and show your support for our mission: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
Once a year Lake Shore Drive closes down so cyclists can enjoy the views of Lake Michigan from famous LSD. MB Financial Bank Bike the Drive is your chance to enjoy it with thousands of other cyclists and also support of the 26 million Americans benefitting from services provided by the American Diabetes Association. All skill levels are welcome to ride.
This year, our registered riders will get many benefits including:
- IT’S BACK! Packet pick-up Day of Event will return to our very own American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure Tent, within the event grounds the morning of the ride. Avoid the long lines at the ATA main Registration tent!
- Exclusive access to our American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure Tent, which will have snacks and refreshments.

- VIP Treatment day of the ride.
- Jerseys (for those who raise the minimum $200 for Red Rider, or $500 for a registered rider)

Champions To Stop Diabetes
When you ride in Tour de Cure at MB Financial Bank Bike the Drive, you take part in something unique. You join the ranks of some of the most passionate people in the country people who care about cycling, health and, above all, finding a cure for diabetes.
If you raise $1,000 or more for a local Tour de Cure at MB Financial Bank Bike the Drive you will automatically become a Champion to Stop Diabetes and will receive special recognition on the weekend of the event, along with special perks all year long!
If you raise $2,600, in honor of the 26 million Americans living with diabetes, you will become a Champion on a Mission and will receive the coveted gold Champions jersey.

Do you or someone you know have diabetes?
Thousands of people with diabetes participate in Tour de Cure at MB Financial Bank Bike the Drive as "Red Riders". Red Riders are the reason we ride—they are given a jersey to proudly wear on the day of the event.
Beyond the recognition, Red Riders are part of a community that inspires us to ride and raise money to Stop Diabetes. Be sure to choose "Red Rider" when you register! * Red Riders who raise the minimum $200 will receive the 2013 Red Rider Jersey.

Thank You Gifts
Tour de Cure at MB Financial Bank Bike the Drive participants can earn a variety of exciting thank you gifts including exclusive apparel, popular electronics, and more! They represent our thanks for reaching higher fundraising levels to fund the mission of the American Diabetes Association and the 26 million Americans with diabetes we serve. All registered participants raising the minimum fundraising amount will receive a commemorative Tour de Cure event T-shirt on the day of the local event. Raise $250 or more and you'll earn your choice of thank you gifts!

Team Red
Team Red is for Red Riders (participants with type 1 or type 2 diabetes), their family, friends and anyone else who is looking to join with millions of others who want to Stop Diabetes! Any rider who isn't already on another team can join Team Red.
Being on Team Red means that you will instantly be a part of a community made up of people from all different areas and walks of life. Team Red is a great way to connect with other families supporting a Red Rider and other families that are honoring a loved one with diabetes.
f I don't have diabetes, can I join Team Red?
YES! You can join Team Red, which is made up of Red Riders AND those who support Red Riders. This is a team for anyone who doesn't already have a team.
