Tour de Cure is more than just a cycling event. It's a life-changing event. A day full of fun and excitement where riders of all levels join forces in the fight to Stop Diabetes® and raise critical funds for diabetes research, education and advocacy in support of the American Diabetes Association.
The Tour is a ride, not a race. Whether you are an occasional rider or an experienced cyclist, there is a route just for you.
So take the Ride of Your Life and sign up today!
What? You don't want to ride but you would love to WALK? South Dakota - come walk. Register your team separately and please include 'Walkers' as part of the team name... for example: Team Red Walkers. Register on this site just as you would for the Tour. Click here for instructions.

South Dakota Recruitment Event! It's all about BBQ & Bikes! Join us on Wednesday June 5, 5:30-7pm at Two Wheeler Dealer on 3315 Spring Avenue. Register at a discount, or just come see us - then join us for a training ride to follow.

Champions To Stop Diabetes
When you ride in Tour de Cure, you take part in something unique. You join the ranks of some of the most passionate people in the country people who care about cycling, health and, above all, finding a cure for diabetes.
If you raise $1,000 or more for a local Tour de Cure you will automatically become a Champion to Stop Diabetes and will receive special recognition on the weekend of the event, along with special perks all year long!
If you raise $2,600, in honor of the 26 million Americans living with diabetes, you will become a Champion on a Mission and will receive the coveted gold Champions jersey.

Do you or someone you know have diabetes?
Thousands of people with diabetes participate in Tour as "Red Riders". Red Riders are the reason we ride—they are given a jersey to proudly wear on the day of the event. Beyond the recognition, Red Riders are part of a community that inspires us to ride and raise money to Stop Diabetes. Be sure to choose "Red Rider" when you register!

Tour de Cure participants can earn a variety of exciting thank you gifts including exclusive apparel, popular electronics, and more! They represent our thanks for reaching higher fundraising levels to fund the mission of the American Diabetes Association and the 26 million Americans with diabetes we serve. All registered participants raising the minimum fundraising amount will receive a commemorative Tour de Cure event T-shirt on the day of the local event. Raise $250 or more and you'll earn your choice of thank you gifts! Including the $500 level 2013 Tour Jersey.

Team Red

Team Red is for Red Riders (participants with type 1 or type 2 diabetes), their family, friends and anyone else who is looking to join with millions of others who want to Stop Diabetes! Any rider who isn't already on another team can join Team Red.
Being on Team Red means that you will instantly be a part of a community made up of people from all different areas and walks of life. Team Red is a great way to connect with other families supporting a Red Rider and other families that are honoring a loved one with diabetes.
If I don't have diabetes, can I join Team Red?
YES! You can join Team Red, which is made up of Red Riders AND those who support Red Riders. This is a team for anyone who doesn't already have a team.

SOUTH DAKOTA KICKOFF 2013
TRAINING RIDE!!! TEAM RED is hosting a Training ride. SATURDAY MAY 18 - 10AM. Meet at Two Wheeler Dealer, 3315 Spring Ave a little before 10. Time and distance tbd. Join us...hear about safe and healthy riding habits! HELMETS!!!

TOUR de Walk?? Yes, you can walk to Stop diabetes the same day as Tour. Register your Walk team, and be sure to include 'Walkers' as part of the team name. Click here to make registration easy. You will need to pay a registration fee - whatever the rate it (watch emails for specials), but your minimum to raise to walk is $25 per person. The more you raise, the better you'll feel!! So get out there - Raise and Walk to Stop Diabetes. Walk registration time on day of event will be in your registration packet. Contact Sarah Barck at sbarck@diabetes.org with any questions.
