Tour de Cure is more than just a cycling event. It's a life-changing event. A day full of fun and excitement where riders of all levels join forces in the fight to Stop Diabetes® and raise critical funds for diabetes research, education and advocacy in support of the American Diabetes Association.

Tour de Cure Sweetgrass Hills

There will be new start times for the 12 Mile and 25 Mile routes. The new start times will be announced at a later date.
In order to receive your day of event Champions benefits (such as
Friday night dinner invitation, parking pass, etc.), all riders must
turn in or confirm that they have reached $1,000 by Friday, September
7th.

Champions To Stop Diabetes

When you ride in Tour de Cure, you take part in something unique. You join the ranks of some of the most passionate people in the country people who care about cycling, health and, above all, finding a cure for diabetes.
If you raise $1,000 or more for a local Tour de Cure you will automatically become a Champion to Stop Diabetes and will receive special recognition on the weekend of the event, along with special perks all year long!
If you raise $2,600, in honor of the 26 million Americans living with diabetes, you will become a Champion on a Mission and will receive the coveted gold Champions jersey.

Do you or someone you know have diabetes?
Thousands of people with diabetes participate in Tour as "Red Riders". Red Riders are the reason we ride—they are given a jersey to proudly wear on the day of the event. Beyond the recognition, Red Riders are part of a community that inspires us to ride and raise money to Stop Diabetes. Be sure to choose "Red Rider" when you register!

Thank You Gifts
Tour de Cure participants can earn a variety of exciting thank you gifts including exclusive apparel, popular electronics, and more! They represent our thanks for reaching higher fundraising levels to fund the mission of the American Diabetes Association and the 26 million Americans with diabetes we serve. All registered participants raising the minimum fundraising amount will receive a commemorative Tour de Cure event T-shirt on the day of the local event. Raise $250 or more and you'll earn your choice of thank you gifts!

Team Red
Team Red is for Red Riders (participants with type 1 or type 2 diabetes), their family, friends and anyone else who is looking to join with millions of others who want to Stop Diabetes! Any rider who isn't already on another team can join Team Red.
Being on Team Red means that you will instantly be a part of a community made up of people from all different areas and walks of life. Team Red is a great way to connect with other families supporting a Red Rider and other families that are honoring a loved one with diabetes.
If I don't have diabetes, can I join Team Red?
YES! You can join Team Red, which is made up of Red Riders AND those who support Red Riders. This is a team for anyone who doesn't already have a team.

Safety Information
The Tour de Cure is conducted on open roads with vehicular traffic. Roads include both marked and unmarked hazards. Though we take every measure to make the ride as safe as possible, always remember that your safety is in your own hands. Please observe the following rules:
- Wear a helmet at all times – NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Carry ID and relevant medical information.
- No headphones or iPods; be aware of traffic sounds around you.
- Rules of the road apply; you have the same rights and duties as the driver of any other vehicle.
- Ride single file. Ride a maximum of two abreast when conditions allow, but do not impede traffic.
- Ride as far right as reasonable.
- Obey all traffic lights, signs, and regulations.
- Pass on the left only; announce “passing” or “on your left.”
- Use hand signals to indicate road hazards, stopping, slowing, right and left turns.
- Prepare properly in terms of nutrition, hydration and training for the route distance you’ve selected to ride.
- Respect others: riders, volunteers, host communities, motorists, pedestrians, law enforcement, and the environment.
- Please refer to additional safety information on our website, diabetes.org/tour as well as on bikeleague.org.
Riding safely and considerately is vital to your enjoyment and the safety of other riders as well as our ability to obtain event permits from local authorities. The future of Tour de Cure as well as other organized cycling events depends on your cooperation with the rules above.

June Contest
