Event Highlights

Tour de Cure invites all riders of all abilities to join the Ship to Shore, your exclusive opportunity to ride across the great port bridges between Long Beach and Palos Verdes and continue through some of Los Angeles’ most dramatic scenery. This is a fund-raising ride like no other. Once you have crossed the Vincent Thomas Bridge, out route options include a full century, a metric century, a half metric and our unique “Harbor Cruise” ride which includes a relaxing harbor cruise back to the start line. For our new or unseasoned riders we also have an easy 8 mile “Shoreline Excursion” through Long Beach’s picturesque waterfront. (Please scroll down for further information about individual routes)

Whichever route you choose, your day begins at Long Beach’s famed Queen Mary with a complimentary breakfast, features fully supported rides with rest stops and SAG support and ends back at the Queen Mary with complimentary lunch, live music, kids activities and an opportunity to visit with our sponsors and learn more about the latest diabetes news.

There are 26 million Americans with Diabetes and 79 million more with pre-diabetes, so register today, start fund-raising  and help us Stop Diabetes – because someone you know has diabetes.

REMEMBER YOU MUST MEET THE MINIMUM FUNDRAISING OF $175 TO RIDER WHETHER RIDING AS AN INDIVIDUAL OR ON A TEAM.

Champions To Stop Diabetes

When you ride in Tour de Cure, you take part in something unique. You join the ranks of some of the most passionate people in the country people who care about cycling, health and, above all, finding a cure for diabetes.

If you raise $1,000 or more for a local Tour de Cure you will automatically become a Champion to Stop Diabetes and will receive special recognition on the weekend of the event, along with special perks all year long!

If you raise $2,600, in honor of the 26 million Americans living with diabetes, you will become a Champion on a Mission and will receive the coveted gold Champions jersey.

Do you or someone you know have diabetes?

Thousands of people with diabetes participate in Tour as "Red Riders". Red Riders are the reason we ride—they are given a jersey to proudly wear on the day of the event. Beyond the recognition, Red Riders are part of a community that inspires us to ride and raise money to Stop Diabetes. Be sure to choose "Red Rider" when you register!
