2017 SC Tour de Cure

Route and Event Info

Downtown Riders Walkers

All Tour routes are designed with your safety and enjoyment in mind. Choose your distance and know that every mile helps make a difference. Whether short or long, each route is fully supported with rest stops, SAG vehicles and more!

We have teamed up with the City of Columbia Police Department to make sure all routes will be safe and secure for all riders. Roads going through the city will be closed and or will have police support to assist with traffic control as well as intersections. Our riders will experience the City of Columbia like never before as well as learn a little history along the way.

NOTE: Route displayed are subject to change at anytime before May 20th. Please make sure to check with Tour de Cure staff before using these routes on the day of the event!!

Be sure to save time at registration and print out your Waiver Form and fill out ahead of time for registration.

Historic Mayors Ride & Walk:  

Free for the entire family! A leisurely paced led out by Mayor Steve Benjamin, police escorted 4-mile ride/2-mile walk through Columbia's historic streets and greenways. This route will take you down Main St, through the Statehouse grounds, USC, the Vista, through the Greenway tunnel under the city and back to the Robert Mills house. Rest Stops will be positioned along the rounte as well as SAG vehicles to provided assists with families that are unable to make the entire 4/2 mile route. 

2 Mile Mayors Walk/Ride -

4 Mile Mayors Ride -

15 Mile: Take the 15 mile route and enjoy the historic sites of the city including Statehouse, Williams Brice Stadium and more.

35 Mile (33.93 Miles):   If you can ride for two hours, at your own pace with rest stops, then you can ride the 30-mile route.  This route will encompass some of the amazing greenways in the City of Columbia as well as historic sites.

View 35 Mile Route (NOTE all routes are subject to change):

65 Mile Metric Century (67.81 Miles):  This route also follows the same route as the 100-mile route with a split shortening the distance to 65-miles going through Downtown Columbia and Congaree National Forest. In addition to rest stop water, electrolytes, fruit and hearty snacks, cyclists on this route will enjoy substantial food at the turnaround AND the full-lunch at the Post-Ride Party. There will be a short cut available at the rest stop approx. mile mark 42 along the route which will shorten the route by approx. 9 miles if you feel the need.

View 65 Mile Route (NOTE all routes are subject to change):

100 Mile Century (100.71 Miles): Enjoy a FULLY SUPPORTED, 100-mile route starting at the Robert Mills House Downtown going through the city with a full police escort/road closings continuing out to the Congaree National Forest with rest stops every 10-15 miles.  In addition to rest stop water, electrolytes, fruit and hearty snacks, cyclists on this route will enjoy substantial food AND the full-lunch at the Post-Ride Party. There will be an opportunity to shorten your travel at the Rest Stop approx 72 miles in which will shorten your route by approx. 9 miles if you feel the need.
