Volunteers are so special to the American Diabetes Association and every hour you give makes a major impact. This year, the Tour de Cure has expanded to include a ride, run and a walk so even more volunteers are needed.
Volunteers are really the backbone of the event and help to make the day exceptional. We would love for you to become part of this dynamic, passionate and fun group of people that volunteer together at this event.
Some examples of volunteer opportunities available:
- Event Set Up

Event Volunteer Information
Day of event volunteers should plan to arrive 15-30 minutes before your scheduled shift and check-in at the Volunteer Tent to receive your volunteer shirt, lunch wristband and instructions for your volunteer location and captain. With the exception of rest/water stop volunteers, please report to your designated area, not the venue.
Any walk-on volunteers must turn in a completed waiver with emergency contact info, health care provider info, and sign and date the bottom. Volunteers under the age of 18 must also have a parent/guardian sign and date the waiver.
Want to be part of the event planning? There is a core group of volunteers who meet throughout the year to help plan the entire event. They help with route planning, volunteer recruitment, event day activities and more.
Whether you have an hour to give or eight hours, your donation of time is so valuable and needed. Please reach out to Alexandra Dystant at email@example.com or 202-331-8303, ext. 4526.
