Send Will Haines on a 7-day 550-mile Odyssey and Support ADA
I'm excited to announce that for 2018, I will officially fundraise for just ONE charity event. Although it is just one, it will be my most challenging cycling ride I ever attempted. I'm hoping that I'll have the opportunity to take on this bucket-list type challenge. With your help, I will do so.
The event is the New England Classic Tour de Cure, a 550 mile 7-day event. Yes, for 7 consecutive days I can be a part of a group of cyclists riding for the American Diabetes Association. The 550 mile trek starts north of Boston, then tours New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Massachusetts.
In order to ride in this event, I need to raise $2,700 for the ADA -- needless to say this is why I am only considering one charity event next year. While it is a challenging fundraising goal, I have been able in years prior to raise this amount for the various charities that I have ridden for, in a single year. In addition to the fundraising, I will be training all year to get ready for this epic trek. You can check on my training on my Strava account, at https://www.strava.com/athletes/thewillhaines
So for your consideration, I offer you the opportunity to sponsor my 550 mile ride in 2018 - that will benefit the American Diabetes Association. Please consider making a donation to this worthy cause, and send me on a trek that I will certainly remember the rest of my life. On my end, I pledge to train year round for this 550 mile cycling trek, and will offer daily updates on FB during this tour if given the opportunity to ride.
When you donate, you spread awareness of the devastating effects of diabetes, you advocate for a child discriminated against in school because of diabetes, you fund life-saving research, you provide access to community programs and free resources that help those living with diabetes.
