Gary W. Pratt of Bridgewater passed away in a boating accident June 5, 2021 in Plymouth at the age of 68. Gary was born in Quincy, son of the late June M. (Mortimer) and William H. Pratt. Gary was raised and educated in Braintree graduating from Braintree High School. He also graduated from Bridgewater State University and took post graduate courses at Curry College in Milton. Mr. Pratt was an elementary school teacher for the town of Westwood and then owned his own construction company for over 30 years "Pratt Built."
Gary was diagnosed with diabetes in his 20s and battled the disease for more than 40 years. The disease never took away his positive spirit and his perseverance and determination were an inspiration to us all.
