Team up in the fight against diabetes - Be a part of Team Diabetes and support the American Diabetes Association this Giving Tuesday!
What is Giving Tuesday?
GivingTuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to use their individual power of generosity to remain connected and support their communities. It’s not just one day – this is a global social movement that’s working every day to fuel more generosity in service to building a more just and equitable world.
On this annual day of celebration -happening on November 29, 2022 this year – the whole world comes together to give back in many different ways: through acts of kindness, gifts of voice, time, talent or treasure. Join the American Diabetes Association in leveraging the energy of Giving Tuesday to tell your story, engage as an advocate in the movement against diabetes, and give a personal gift that will collectively impact the future of those living with diabetes.
Why Participate in Giving Tuesday?
Because, today alone over 4,100 people will be diagnosed with diabetes and more than 30 million adults and children in the United States are already living with this terrible disease.
When you participate in Giving Tuesday:
- You spread awareness of the devastating effects of diabetes.
- You advocate for a child discriminated against in school because of diabetes.
- You fund life-saving research.
- You provide access to community programs and free resources that help those living with diabetes.
- You give HOPE to thousands of people that must face the challenge of living with diabetes every day!
- Take action to make a difference. Learn how to use your voice to advocate priorities at the state and federal levels, as well as those for legal advocacy. Visit https://diabetes.org/get-involved/advocacy to find out how the ADA's advocacy supports research funding, health care access, and more.
