HELP ME, HELP HIM! :)

The Sweet Lovin' Man, my Mattie, has been an unconditional support and encouragement to me since the day we started writing... and months and months later, since the day we met. He's changed my life for the better and I wouldn't be the same girl without him. :)

What I loooooooooove to do is lavish my hugs & smooches on him! I love to be his best friend and tell him he can do anything in the world! YAY!!! :) :) :)

What I doooooooooon't love to do is call the paramedics at 3 in the morning because he's unresponsive with a blood sugar of 27. Sadly, the Sweet Lovin' Man is a Type One diabetic. He manages the absolute best he can but diabetes just doesn't care sometimes. In fact diabetes SUCKS!!!

But here's the cool part. :)

DIABETES IS ALMOST A CURABLE DISEASE!! (In your face, Diabetes!!!) There has been sooo much amazing research done in the past thanks to previous donations to aide research that a cure is right around the corner!!! I feel it!! There is soooo much hope!!! And I want the best thing that's ever happened to me to go through his life as carefree as possible as SOON as possible.

Won't you help me help him? HELP ME, HELP HIM! (Sorry, I'm a lackluster Jerry Maguire).

Please give if you can. It would mean so much to me!!! Like my Mattie, this cause is near and dear to my heart. It would mean the WOOOORLD!!! :)

Much love,
Mandi

Did you know that 1 in 3 children in the United States faces a future with diabetes?

The Association works everyday to change the frightening future that diabetes has in store, but we need your help. Please make a donation to my fundraising efforts. Together we can stop diabetes.

About Diabetes

Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin. Insulin is a hormone that is needed to convert sugar, starches and other food into energy needed for daily life. The cause of diabetes continues to be a mystery, although both genetics and environmental factors appear to play roles. There are 23.6 million Americans living with diabetes, a disease that is outpacing heart disease, cancer and AIDS. Diabetes is a disease that has deadly serious consequences, and there is no cure.
