Hi and thanks for visiting my fundraising page!
Diabetes affects 25 million people. While we have all heard the term, many people feel it is a disease that is treatable and simply inconvenient. They do not understand how much of an impact it can make in someone's life. My father lost his eye sight from diabetes related glaucoma. I know someone who had to have a limb amputated. Another who is dependent on an insulin pump. And I knew someone who died from complications from this disease, when he was only 32. Diabetes is more than inconvenient. It's truly life impacting.
In the course of participating in the Tour De Cure over the last three years, I have met people, who have faced the challenges of this disease head on – and ride in the event. These people inspire me!
Please help me to support the work of the American Diabetes Association. They offer support services and fund research that will someday find a cure. Your donation will help improve the life of diabetics.
I would only ask for your help if I was willing to do so myself. In addition to spending hundreds of hours training for the event, I have donated the first $110 to my ride. I'd appreciate it if you could help me reach my fundraising goal. No amount is too small. And together, we can make truly a difference!
Again, thanks for visiting, for your generosity and for your support!
